CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT TIMELINE


The Civil Rights Movement was a series of interelated and disconnected events that took place over a period of 50 years. What happened during this movement? Since you each will be an expert on a certain aspect of the Movement, it's going to be great to hear each of your experiences form a first hand perspective. To create a detailed scope and sequence of the era, you will be completeing an interactive timeline. We will be embedding this timeline into our Unit 8 Online Notebooks and onto the CRM Facebook.


Instructions -

Go to www.dipity.com and sign in as "usmstudent", password "wildcats"
Click on the proper timeline - Period 1 / Period 2 / Period 3 / Period 4 / Period 6and click on the title
Click on the image of Brown v. Board. Notice the paramters of the timeline entry
  • title
  • date (if it is beneral, the year is fine)
  • first person summary of the event,idea, or topic in at least four complete sentences, including one primary source quote that helps to describe it
  • a description of the impact of the event
  • an esential image
  • the location of the event of topic
  • an external link
  • a decent video

To create your own timeline entry of the topic or event specific to your facebook role, click on "add an event" in the top right hand corner. Start filling in the timeline using web resources and the textbook. Your entry should be complete by Tuesday.
